269. The spring gooble
Monday Mar 06, 2023
Monday Mar 06, 2023
An old familiar call fills the spring windows and brings the dawn of a brand new season of life and growth. But it also represents the final footsteps of another hunting season that was filled with adventure marching its way towards the dormant sea. That sound is of the spring gobbler as it sings its song of relief a reminder to the woodsman calling him to race up his beats and walk forth centering his attention on the present moment he walks. Because without that sense of mindfulness, the hunter can easily miss out on the softest of songs and even the smallest details that could lead him to success.

There are signs that inspired fear within man, yet they weave some of the most beautiful sights in nature. The spider. He walks one of the most misunderstood paths of any being on Earth. For something so small and so fragile to hold such power that its mere presence can push man into a state of fear just by crossing their path shows his wisdom reaches much beyond his small size and stature.
So many metaphors of our behaviors that we use on a daily basis play out in such a significant way within the spider's daily way of life. From the venom which is used to secure their food, you can see just how the words and actions that men can use instantly kill relationships and connections both known and unknown all the way down to the web in which they live weaving fiber after fiber connecting them from branch to branch and from fiber to fiber.
In the same way, that man reaches into the world we've been one connection to the next both within and outside of his very own tribe.
Teaching us to strike a balance between how we go about our interactions and our behaviors, both are reaching out and staying close to home. While there's beauty that lies within our work here on Earth, there's also the venom that we spew that provides protection and signals the behaviors, the accessibilities that we have, that we offer people. We have to be aware of exactly what our behavior shows in order to help us progress. And I think this is why so many of us you're the spider.

Thursday Mar 02, 2023
On Thursdays, we're each into the bag of questions that I get asked quite often. And I like to pick one or two of the most helpful ones that I come across. Sometimes they come through from talks that I give, other times from clients that I work with, or maybe even just somebody that I meet in the field.
In doing so, I hope that these answers and ideas that come up offer you a little bit more clarity and a little bit more guidance to help you along this journey of life that we're all embargoing upon

266. François de Neuville on learning from tragedy

And I want to start with one of my favorite quotes going forward with courage, when you are in doubt, be still and wait. When doubt no longer exists within you, then and only then, you find the courage to go forward. So long as the mist envelopes, you remain still. Be still until the sunlight pours through and dispose of the mist as it surely will. Then the act of courage truly commenced. You see, courage is a facet of medicine that lies deep within each and every one of us. I mean, well, yeah, to express courage and bravery is truly an act of wisdom.

And most of the time, we don't even realize that it's really happening. And that holds true with how we transition from stage to stage. And life, really, or even how we experience, really, any given moment. We have this ability to shed layers of ourselves that are no longer fit for the environment in which we live. And that's why.

The hut was described many times over as one of the most grueling, strenuous, and outright down and dirty of the day.
"I will be back with the bear" as Holt Collier. rode off with his pack of dogs.
Only to return to find the log he left President Roosevelt sitting on empty.
With a rope around a bear's neck, this hunt quickly became a moral dilemma.

262.Thursday’s question
Thursday Feb 23, 2023
Thursday Feb 23, 2023
Sometimes these questions come from talks that I give or Q and A sessions that I'm a part of. They may even come from a one-on-one session, be it my own or with a client, or perhaps even when I meet somebody in the field. But regardless of how they come about, I think these questions, as well as the answers, really offer some wisdom and some insight that can do a lot to help with the journey and the adventure. So that's why I wanted to get in the practice of doing these Thursday question sessions.

Just like the wild sunflower is a part of the natural landscape, so too is the man. fashioned from the same soil as each of the world's creations, he, too, fits into the circle of work earth. Just as the buffalo does.
He has granted the same space in which to grow while walking the land. But at some point, the balance shifted. And this shift came about when a man took the power of creation into his own hand. On that day that he removed his hand from the circle of balance, he found a new purpose for those now free hands.
